King Charles

I have no idea where I first heard this man but his voice and random adopted name stuck in my head and I think he is going to be something special. Real name Charles Johnston, he is English and showcases what has to be some of the most beautiful music coming through the industry today.

His hair let alone is enough to stir up inspiration in an individual, but his style is phenomenal. His clothes and outfits have this amazing mix of eclectic old-school, 17th century, hippie, old grandad and it some how comes together and looks beyond cool.
Take away the clothes, the hair and the pirate beard and you are left with the bare essentials of a indie singer-songwriter sensation.

I would say if you are a fan of the likes of Mumford and sons, Noah and the whale, Laura Marling ETC then this man is right up your street. His lyrics are beautiful and it's the kind of music you just want to listen to over and over. His talent is undeniable and he can play the guitar very well. I rest my case.

My favourite song so far has to be Lovelust, give it a listen and follow the King on twitter as he only has 4000 followers!

His debut album Loveblood is out May 17th

The curse of single girl dressing

The curse of single girl dressing is something I am sure many women out there have been faced with at some point in their life.

You may not necessarily BE a single girl, in fact you might be loved up but the curse can crop up at any time. The problem is, when you are getting dressed or undressed for that matter of fact and you come across an article of clothing which requires assistant in doing up and BAM it hits you, the curse of single girl dressing.
It happened to me this morning, I was awake early for a conference at university and I picked out my gorgeous leopard print dress which I bought at Tesco a few years ago. I unzipped the seam at the back of the dress which runs three quarters of the way down the dress, and stepped into it. I then had to begin the awkward process of trying to zip it up. My flat mates were fast asleep as it was half past 8 in the morning so I was alone in my struggle. Purely attempting to get dressed resulted in a long and laborious process of twisting my body and pulling and zipping from all angles.
I did manage to dress myself in the end! But the fact that it is so hard makes me almost not want to wear the dress at all.

If I did live with a man then most likely he would of been there to do up the dress and off I would of gone without so much as a second glance to check my hair hadn't been caught in the zip.

So this is just a message to all designers out there, please be aware of this fault and make dressing fair and fun for all. Regardless of relationship status.

Daniel Radcliffe looking ravishing

Unless you have been under a rock for the past 10 years then you will be well aware who this man is. Yes ladies and gentleman, it's little Harry Potter all grown up. Now he may have left the wizarding world behind but I still think he is magical. I have been a Daniel fan since the beginning and now it seems that the rest of the world is waking up to the fact that he's no longer hidden away in his Hogwarts robes and he is infact, quite a hottie.

Just look at that jaw line!

Anyway, I'm in Daniel overload but here's a little snippet of just how adorable he was on the Jonathan Ross show. TOO CUTE!

Is romance dead?

Today I was cleaning out my room, de-cluttering and rummaging though bags and boxes that haven't been opened in years, clearing out old junk when I came across a letter from an ex. It was a love letter. Written in scruffy writing on a used scrap of old paper which had part of a shopping list on the other side from a boy I now barely speak to and despite that, it had meant something to me and I had kept it all this time.

The letter was ancient and I haven't recieved a love letter since. I've had more texts than my phone can hold, phonecalls which used up all my minutes, facebook conversations that went on for days, even metions on twitter, but no letters...and it suddenly hit me, is romance dead?

With Valentine's day looming, I can't help but think that we have lost all our romantic morals. You can buy a card in asda for 7p I kid you not. Despite this, the pages of history are littered with great love stories. Romeo and Juliet died for love. They couldn't bear the thought of living without one another so they took their own lives. I understand it's a story but a man wrote it, Shakespeare put his thoughts to paper and they were beautiful. And it wasn't just those starry eyed teens who caught our attention: Lord Bryon wrote poems, spilling his heart many a time; Anthony and Cleopatra were famous lovers; the story of Heathcliff and Cathy is beyond magically hauting and King Edward the VIII even abdicted the throne in order to marry the woman he loved!

Nowadays there is barely a trace of romance left in the world it seems. I don't mean buying cheap flowers or going to a fancy restaurant or giving a tacky 'I <3 u' teddy. I mean real old-school romance. In the words of Olive Penderghast: "Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80's movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie."

So next time you're with your significant other, just keep in mind that it wouldn't kill you to be a little more romantic and not just on Valentine's day.

My girl looking fierce

Now if you know me then you will be aware that I adore this girl, so when I saw her on the cover of Wonderland I was literally screaming and jumping up and down in WHS. The cover is so simple and clean and yet powerful but I wouldn't expect anything less from Nicki or Wonderland. The main Barbz herself is rocking a Prada silk body with matching cartoon motif jacket, channelling her love of Harajuku and of course she's got on her MAC lipstick, from the range she created with them and her statement pink locks are in a cute curly style. The pictures inside are gorgeous (her boobs are looking AMAZING) her skin is glowing and she looks really happy. In the interview she talks about how much her fans mean to her and the connection she has with each one which I personally think you don't find enough with singers these days. All in all she is just a TOP BABE!

Wonderland is out now £5.00

Something sweet to get me by

Even though it is still below freezing point and it's predicted to snow at some point this weekend I am itching to hit the shops and get some candy colours to cheer myself up and forget about the weather and the fact I'm back at university full time.

The shops are full of sweet treats and cute clothes that are to die for. Liliacs and pinks and lime green and sky blue and they are all so beautiful. They are the kind of colours that are going to make you want to tie little bows in your hair and wear A-line summer dresses. As you can probably tell I'm rather excited about this season's sugary shades.

But it doesn't stop at clothes. Hair is set to get the rainbow makeover too. Style.com has noted brightly coloured locks as one of the key looks for this season and as it's too chilly too get out cute little summer dresses, hair is the easiest way to get involved with the pastel trend. There are loads of semi-permanent hair dyes out there and they are so easy to do. But if you need a little inspiration look no further than Bleach london who have even created their own little range of tye-dye barbies.
Below are a few images from there site so all credit goes to them. Enjoy!

Geek chic satchels

I came across these gorgeous bags when I was flicking through the pages Januarys 2012 Vogue. I was stopped in my tracks by a bright pink page and I was immediately drawn towards a fluoro satchel.
Then I died a little bit inside when I saw that it cost £98 for an 11 inch. Needless to say I was straight onto google and I came across the cambridge satchel company which stocks and products the babies. They have different types of satchels which all come in a variety of sizes and colours and well what more can I say? I need one. They have some in the sale (cheapest around £55 but sadly no pictures  of the sale ones along side the description and some of them are marked down as damaged which takes all the fun out of buying a brand new bag. Maybe if I wish hard enough one will somehow find itself to my house because if I was to buy my dream bag, I wouldn't be able to afford to eat for a month. Oh the woes of being a fashion forward.
